Dermaroller / Skin Needling

Dermal roller (skin needling) is a treatment modality used for collagen channeling for natural collagen induction therapy. It uses a special roller that has up to 200 tiny stainless steel needles that 'puncture' the epidermis when rolled over the skin surface.

Cost per treatment:  £175                                    Course of 3 treatments:  £450  (ideal for anti-aging)

 How does Dermaroller work?

The principle behind collagen channeling and the dermal needling treatment, is simple. When the skin is rolled, (under topical or local anesthetic) it creates tiny channels deep in to the dermis of the skin. These deep channels cause keratinocytes and fibroblasts to produce numerous growth factors that induce collagen synthesis.

The stimulation of growth factors is how the body naturally rebuilds skin density and integrity, and is the wound healing process. When rollers are used in conjunction with specially formulated serums, specific cells can be targeted for maximum therapeutic effect, such as anti-aging or reduction of pigmentation or scar tissue. Dermal rolling is very safe when conducted correctly, and heals quickly while preserving an intact epidermis.

Natural Collagen Induction Therapy is typically used as an alternative to thermal based modalities such as IPL & Laser for softening of fine lines, helping tighten the skin and restore elasticity, restructure and thickening of skin, and reducing the appearance of scarring and pigmentation.
